Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Vellscan mobile application ("App") or accessing the Vellscan website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service & Privacy Architecture

Vellscan provides high-fidelity optical document scanning, real-time edge detection, quadrilateral perspective correction, optical character recognition (OCR), multi-format document exporting, and visual stamp watermarking. All processing occurs locally on your smartphone device without remote document image retention.

3. Pro Subscriptions & Billing

Billing Cycle: Vellscan Pro subscriptions (Monthly or Annual) are billed in advance through your Google Play Store account.
Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period in your Google Play Store Subscriptions settings.
Cancellation & Refunds: You may manage or cancel subscriptions at any time via the Google Play Store app under "Payments & subscriptions". Refunds are governed exclusively by Google Play's standard refund policies.

4. Visual Signature Disclaimer

Important Notice: Features labeled "My Signature" or "Signature" provide a visual graphical overlay stamp on your exported documents. This visual overlay does NOT constitute a certificate-backed cryptographic PKI digital signature (such as eIDAS or DocuSign digital certificates). Users are responsible for determining whether a visual stamp meets their specific legal or commercial jurisdiction requirements.

5. Intellectual Property & Document Ownership

You retain 100% intellectual property ownership of all photographs, scans, documents, text extractions, and signatures processed through Vellscan. Vellscan claims zero ownership or licensing rights to user-generated documents.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. In no event shall Vellscan, its officers, directors, or employees be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from document loss, data corruption, or hardware malfunction.
